Job summary

EXL is seeking an AWS Platform Engineer in Pune to design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform IaC, with hands-on Neo4J on AWS and S3. The role focuses on high performance, security, and reliability while collaborating with data teams on analytics and data modeling.

The ideal candidate will ensure governance, optimize queries, and maintain documentation across AWS services, IAM permissions, and data workflows.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of platform engineering on Neo4J & AWS.

Job Description:

We are looking for an AWS Platform Engineer who carries experience in architecture of Enterprise Data Warehouse implementation on AWS IAM, Neo4J, S3, VPC, CloudWatch and other relevant
services. An ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing AWS infrastructure, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage AWS infrastructure through Terraform IaC
• Optimize and improve AWS performance, scalability, and availability.
• Hands on experience on Neo4J Graph database installation and setup on AWS.
• Support User SQL queries and issues.
• Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with data governance policies.
• Monitor and troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
• Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to understand business requirements and optimize data models.
• Develop and maintain documentation of AWS architecture, processes, and procedures.
• Partner with data engineers on query design during projects and while performing analytics, and to analyze, troubleshoot and optimize application and ad-hoc queries in production.
• Design and Configure the IAM policies for interoperability between S3, Neo4J and Glue Catalog, EMR and other services.
• In-depth experience on AWS

Qualifications

• Experience with other AWS services like EC2, RDS, VPC, IAM and Neo4J database
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
• Minimum 3 years of extensive experience and exposure of platform engineering on Neo4J &
