Job summary

VOIS is seeking an experienced AWS Network & Security Specialist to manage Level-3 operations, strengthen cloud security posture, and ensure architectural assurance across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. You will focus on AWS network designs, security tooling, and compliance with global standards to support enterprise workloads.

Responsibilities include leading incident response, threat modelling, automation of security ops, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to embed security

Qualifications

• Experience in AWS networking and security operations.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services used for network security (VPC, TGW, Direct Connect).
• Familiar with Fortinet security products (FortiGate/Manager/Analyzer).
• Comfort with hybrid/multi-cloud deployments (AWS and Azure).
• Proficient in scripting for automation (Python/Bash).
• Understanding of security standards (ISO 27001, SOC2, HIPAA).
• Ability to lead incident response and perform threat modelling.

Responsibilities

• Design secure AWS cloud network architectures.
• Manage and enhance cloud security platforms and ensure compliance.
• Implement Zero Trust, SASE, ZTNA and SSE frameworks.
• Operate firewalls, proxies, IDS/IPS in hybrid environments.

About This Role

We are seeking an experienced AWS Network & Security Specialist to manage Level-3 operations, ensure architectural assurance, and strengthen the security posture of cloud-based network environments. This role focuses on supporting AWS cloud infrastructure that underpins enterprise and telecom workloads, while driving secure, scalable, and resilient solutions across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement secure AWS cloud network architectures aligned with best practices
• Manage and enhance cloud security platforms, ensuring compliance with global standards such as ISO 27001, SOC2, and HIPAA
• Implement modern security frameworks including Zero Trust, SASE, ZTNA, and SSE
• Operate and secure firewalls, proxies, IDS/IPS systems, and hybrid network environments
• Act as the L3 escalation point for network and security incidents, leading investigation and resolution
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Develop and maintain monitoring tools, dashboards, and alerting systems
• Automate security operations using scripting and orchestration tools
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed security within the software development lifecycle
• Perform threat modelling, vulnerability assessments, and support penetration testing
• Drive risk assessment processes and manage mitigation strategies
• Support audits and regulatory compliance initiatives

Who You Are

• An experienced professional with strong expertise in AWS networking and security operations
• Proficient in AWS services such as VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Security Hub, GuardDuty, and IAM
• Skilled in Fortinet technologies, including FortiGate, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer
• Knowledgeable in networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), MPLS, and Layer 2/3 switching
• Familiar with security technologies and protocols such as IPsec, SSL, VPN, and intrusion detection systems
• Experienced in hybrid and multi-cloud environments (AWS and Azure)
• Competent in scripting and automation using tools such as Python, Bash, Ansible, or Terraform
• Well-versed in monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes and security compliance frameworks (GDPR, PCI-DSS, SOC2, HIPAA)
• A collaborative individual with strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Holds or is working towards relevant certifications such as Fortinet NSE, CISSP, CCNP Security, or equivalent
