HNM Systems, Inc. seeks a hands-on Cloud Platform & AI Engineer to enhance and support our AWS-based platform, data processing pipelines, automation, and emerging AI/ML capabilities. You will work across infrastructure, software tooling, and data workloads to deliver scalable solutions.

Responsibilities include building cloud-native services, deploying Spark-based workloads, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines while collaborating with data science teams to advance GenAI capabilities.

Qualifikationen

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, EMR, CloudWatch).
• Solid Linux administration, scripting, troubleshooting, and operational support skills.
• Proficient Python development for automation, APIs, and data processing.
• Proficient in Terraform for IaC and managing AWS environments.
• Hands-on Spark/PySpark development, troubleshooting, and optimization of workloads.
• Experience provisioning/configuring EMR clusters and Spark workloads.

Aufgaben

• Build, run, and optimize a cloud-based platform on AWS with scalable data processing pipelines.
• Develop and maintain automation, tools, and APIs to support AI/ML and GenAI workloads.
• Collaborate with data science teams to deploy and scale Spark-based workloads.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub/Bitbucket) for automated builds and deployments.
• Ensure cloud security, monitoring, and cost optimization across environments.

We are looking for a hands-on Cloud Platform & AI Engineer to support and enhance our AWS based platform, data processing, automation, and emerging AI/ML capabilities.

Required Skills

• AWS Cloud: Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, EMR, CloudWatch and related cloud services.
• Linux: Good Linux administration, scripting, troubleshooting, networking, performance monitoring, and operational support skills.
• Python: Strong Python development and scripting skills for automation, platform utilities, APIs, and data processing.
• Terraform: Strong Infrastructure as a Code experience provisioning and maintaining AWS environments using Terraform.
• Apache Spark / PySpark: Hands-on experience developing, troubleshooting, and optimizing Spark-based workloads.
• AWS EMR: Experience provisioning, configuring, operating, and troubleshooting EMR clusters and Spark workloads.
• AI/ML & GenAI: Practical exposure to AI/ML and Generative AI technologies, including LLM-based applications, MCP servers, AI agents/agentic workflows, and related frameworks.
• CI/CD: Experience with Jenkins, GitHub / Bitbucket or similar tools for automated build and deployment processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Docker, Kubernetes/EKS and containerized workloads. REST APIs, monitoring/logging, vulnerability remediation, and cloud security.
• Experience supporting JupyterHub / JupyterLab or similar data science and ML development environments.
