EY GDS Technology Consulting is seeking a Senior Cloud Native Developer (AWS) to design, build, and modernize cloud-first solutions for global clients. You will work with distributed teams, applying modern engineering practices across DevOps, microservices, and AI-enabled services.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- 4–8 years of IT experience with cloud-native development.
- Proven experience delivering production-grade AWS solutions.
- Hands-on with modern SDLC, Agile and DevOps practices.
Responsibilities
- Build scalable, secure microservices on AWS using Node.js/Typescript.
- Develop RESTful APIs and backend services with good performance.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and product teams.
- Contribute to monolith-to-microservices modernization and cloud migrations.

The Opportunity: Senior Cloud Native Developer (AWS)
In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, cloud-native architectures are at the core of scalable, resilient, and secure enterprise platforms. EY GDS is looking for a Senior Cloud Native Developer who will play a critical role in designing, building, and modernizing cloud-first solutions for global clients.
As part of our global delivery teams, you will work on complex transformation programs, contribute to next-generation digital platforms, and apply modern engineering practices across distributed systems, DevOps, and AI-enabled services.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Build scalable, resilient, and secure microservices using: Node.js/Typescript.
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications on AWS, leveraging managed services and event-driven architectures
- Translate business and technical requirements into well-architected cloud solutions following AWS best practices
- Develop RESTful APIs and backend services with strong focus on performance, observability, and fault tolerance
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release strategies to enable continuous delivery
- Collaborate closely with architects, DevOps engineers, and product teams across global engagements
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and cost-optimization principles in cloud implementations
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and mentoring of junior developers
- Contribute to modernization initiatives including monolith-to-microservices, cloud migration, and re-platforming
- Develop/maintain full stack applications using Node.js and Java (spring boot), Build and deploy scalable solutions on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, EC2), Design APIs, Integrate systems, and support event-driven architectures (KAFKA, MQ).
- Create technical designs for user stories and support Agile delivery, Collaborate with teams on CI/CD testing, and cloud deployments, leverage AI tools to improve development efficiency and productivity

- Proficiency in backend programming languages: Node.js/Typescript
- Compute: EC2, EKS, Lambda

- Networking & Security: VPC, IAM, Security Groups
- Integration & Messaging: API Gateway, SNS, SQS
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): CloudFormation, Terraform

- DevOps practices: CI/CD, automated builds, testing, and deployments

- Use of Microsoft Copilot and AI-assisted development tools
- Writing AI prompts for code generation, refactoring, test creation, debugging
