Job summary

Barclays in Chennai is seeking an AVP in ST&I Recovery and Resolution planning to maintain BAU Valuation capabilities for a resolution scenario. You will work with Finance, Treasury, Risk and other stakeholders to support strategic ViR initiatives.

The role requires leading complex ViR controls, coordinating testing activities, and providing expert advice to senior stakeholders, while embodying Barclays values.

Purpose of the role

To develop strategic infrastructure requirements, onboard current model suite & new quantitative model methodologies, redevelop models based on monitoring, IVU feedback and business changes and perform validation process.

Accountabilities

• Delivery of advanced model analytics, improve stability and bring consistency in calculation approach.
• Leading technical engagements with QA and IVU for strategic redevelopment project on behalf of FTC.
• Provision of model execution, output analysis and lifecycle management capabilities across use cases for both forecasting and BAU models.
• Implementation of process improvements though enhanced controls, automation and improved analytics.
• Delivery of advanced model analytics (Recalibration, Sensitivity, root cause analysis etc.).
• Controls and testing: Addressing execution issues with IT and QA, Perform UAT as part of model product ionisation.
• Cataloguing of issues, potential improvement for model redevelopment, authoring technical documentation with QA.

Your role will provide the opportunity to work with a wide set of stakeholders across Finance, Treasury, Risk, Cost, amongst others

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Maintenance of Financial Control specific ViR capabilities, including process documentation, controls and governance framework.
• Lead and coordinate ViR Financial Control testing activities, including sourcing data from multiple teams, documenting outcomes and presenting outputs to senior stakeholders.
• Act as the Financial Control SME across multiple ViR valuations.
• Coordinate project management aspects of ViR, such as tracking delivery, providing management updates, running governance forums and supporting regulatory submissions.
