Job summary

LPL Financial LLC in Hyderabad is seeking an AVP Tech, Data Engineering Lead to guide a team of data engineers in building robust, scalable pipelines and platforms. You will transform raw data into actionable insights, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Bring 12+ years in data engineering with leadership experience, proficiency in SQL and Python/Scala/Java, and hands-on work with AWS, Spark, Kafka, and data warehousing solutions like Snowflake/Redshift.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive experience in data engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or lead role.
• Proven experience with data technologies such as RDS, Spark, Kafka, Flink.
• Expertise in designing and implementing data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift).
• Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python/Scala/Java).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and their data-related services.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data governance principles.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Design, develop, and implement scalable data ingestion, transformation, and storage solutions using various data technologies.
• Architect and optimize System of Record applications alongside data warehousing and data lake solutions, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data scientists, and other engineering teams to translate data requirements into technical solutions.
• Establish and enforce best practices for data engineering, including coding standards, data governance, and data security.
• Evaluate and recommend new data technologies and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of data operations.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture, processes, and systems.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in data engineering processes and methodologies.
