Job description
Job Title: AVP, Operations Resilience CoE

The Associate Vice President, GCB5 position sits within the newly established Global IWPB Operational Resilience (OpRes) Utility team. The role will lead key initiatives related to business continuity planning, data quality, vulnerability management, governance reporting, and the delivery of consistent, group-wide standards to ensure our Important Business Services remain robust and sustainable. Operational Resilience requires a need to build strong relationships and establish strong collaboration with key stakeholders, including businesses, operations, IT, Third Party, Business Continuity and Incident Management etc. The role will involve being subject matter experts in the OpRes framework, Governance and Strategic tooling.

In this role, you will:
  • Extend support with Governance and Oversight across all IWPB OpRes markets.
  • Perform read-across along similar Important Business Servicess.
  • Undertake actions as a Subject Matter Expert on Strategic Tooling, Business continuity, vulnerabilities and testing.
  • Excel IWPB and provide timely responses to our teams.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders (E.g. Third-party Management, Business Continuity, Testing (etc)) to ensure alignment, review and challenge framework changes.
  • Collate and Report on IWPB metrics.
  • Responsible for ensuring Data Quality and consistency across markets.
  • Address and follow up on queries and challenges from the Second Line of Defence (2LoD) and Third Line of Defence (3LoD).
Leadership & Teamwork
  • Collaborate and contribute in team meeting / activities and objectives and work towards sustaining team spirit.
  • Collaborate with line manager/supervisor in managing day-to-day operations and support peers on process if needed.
  • Acts as a role model for our Group Values and Behaviors (Open, Connected, Dependable), supporting colleagues and customers to deliver superior customer service through these values.
  • Develop and build professional relationships with colleagues in other areas
To be successful you will:
  • University graduate.
  • Possess working experience from a banking/financial institution, familiar with HSBC products and business services.
  • Experienced in liaising with internal/external business partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Good knowledge in Operational Resilience or have a strong interest and ability to learn fast.
  • Ability to work agile and experience in project management with good deliverables.
  • Experience in IT incident management / Third Party management / Business Continuity Management would be an advantage.
