Job summary

Revantage, a Blackstone Real Estate portfolio company, seeks a senior finance professional to lead consolidations, IFRS/Lux GAAP reporting and audit support from its Bengaluru office. You will manage 4–8 resources, drive process improvements, and collaborate with global teams on financial reporting standards.

The role requires strong English communication, advanced Excel, and ERP experience with Yardi, CaseWare/Workiva being advantageous. This is a full-time on-site position based in Bengaluru.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant professional experience in general operational accounting, preferably in Real Estate, including financial accounting, administration and year-end audit & reporting.
• IFRS and/or Lux GAAP knowledge.
• Experience in managing and leading a team of ~4–8 resources.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• CaseWare or Workiva knowledge is an advantage.
• Yardi ERP, Sigma & Power BI knowledge is an advantage.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your role is to facilitate, deliver and review high quality financial reporting to various stakeholders for companies owned by Funds sponsored by The Blackstone Group.

• Lead recurring consolidations across various Fund structures reporting to multiple stakeholders across various financial reporting teams.
• Coordinate and review financial reporting obligations including drafting of consolidated financial statements and notes to the consolidated financial statements prepared in IFRS or Lux GAAP (or other major GAAPs).
• Review and update the chart of accounts mapping and the financial statements templates.
• Define and maintain timelines for the consolidated financial statement preparation, reviews, and audit support.
• Maintain a tracker of all consolidations required (bank/investor reporting and statutory reporting).
• Collaborate with controlling team regarding certain closing procedures.
• Perform audit assessment for companies through the review of audit thresholds (both standalone and group).
• Assist the teams with financial reporting or other issues related audits.
• Perform a going concern analysis for the entities undergoing audits.
• Drive the external financing loan agreement review process as it pertains to financial reporting obligations. Setting deadlines and milestones for projects. Regularly reviewing and updating the delivery calendar to reflect changes.
• Establish effective working relationships with others to successfully lead, mentor, coach, and motivate to effectively empower, engage, and develop team members.
• Task management & prioritisation to successfully carry out the initiation, planning, tracking, and closure of BAU & ad hoc tasks across different products/reporting functions.
• Skilful delegation of tasks and responsibilities within the team by coming up with workable solutions.
• Set SMART goals & objectives for team leads and evaluate their performance, providing regular feedback vis-a-vis functional goals.
• Engage directly and operationally with the daily tasks at hand, understand and gain insights into the end-to-end process workflow.
• On a regular basis responsible to work, contribute and perform on preparing process deliverables as per business requirement.
• Support and fill in as a doer for any planned/unplanned absenteeism within the team.

Business Transformation & Analytics

• Lead the strategic/tactical initiatives for finance processes requiring COE involvement.
• Ensure participation of team leads in process improvement tactical/strategic initiatives.
• Drive and identify opportunities to increase the utilization of clients’ global Centre of Excellence.
• Drive relationship with other teams to collaborate on improving efficiency and implementing best business practices.
• Identify and implement process and system improvements to increase overall efficiency and accuracy.

Knowledge, Competencies, Skills & Abilities

• 12+ years relevant professional experience in general operational accounting preferably in Real Estate area, including financial accounting, administration and year-end audit & reporting processes.
• IFRS and/or Lux GAAP knowledge.
• Experience in managing & leading team size of approximately 4 to 8 resources.
• Proficient user of MS Office, high level especially in Excel.
• CaseWare or Workiva knowledge is an advantage.
• Yardi ERP, Sigma & Power BI knowledge is an advantage.
• Fluency in English (verbally and in writing) is a compulsory requirement. Any other languages are an advantage.

Qualifications

Degree in accounting or similar, Chartered Accountant/CFA/CPA/ACCA.
