Job summary

HSBC Software Development India is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant Specialist to join our team in Hyderabad. You will develop IT solutions aligned to solution design, owning end-to-end delivery for a product or service across change and run activities.

• Hands-on Avaloq platform experience including parameterisation and development across delivery and production support.
• Strong Private Banking domain understanding to translate customer journeys into workable technology solutions.
• Extensive SQL capability including PL/SQL and Unix shell scripting.
• Experience with tooling such as Control-M and operating in Unix-based environments.
• Ability to translate user requirements into clear technical solutions with validation across stakeholders.
• Produce structured solution and change documentation using established analysis techniques.
• Deliver development, testing and release execution in Agile/DevOps practices.
• Clear written and spoken communication for mixed audiences.

• Embed unit and integration testing into development work in partnership with Test Engineers.
• Maintain compliance with mandatory and regulatory requirements across products and services.
• Strengthen group controls within pod activities and resolve remediation actions quickly.
• Oversee operational stability, integrity and availability of services supported by the pod.
• Monitor pod performance against agreed productivity, quality and effectiveness benchmarks.
• Partner with solution architects to align delivery with the right architectures and systems.

• Apply proven Private Banking domain understanding to translate customer journeys into workable technology solutions
• Use strong SQL capability including PL/SQL alongside Unix and shell scripting to build and support solutions
• Work effectively with tooling such as Control‑M and operate confidently in Unix‑based environments
• Interpret user requirements and convert them into clear technical solutions with validation across business and engineering stakeholders
• Produce structured solution and change documentation using established analysis techniques and methodologies
• Deliver development, testing and release execution in Agile ways of working including DevOps practices
• Communicate clearly in writing and in person including explaining technical constraints and options to mixed audiences
