Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Engineering, Data Science, Business, Statistics or a related discipline.
• Approximately 1-3 years in automotive research, market intelligence, forecasting, consulting, data analytics or a closely related role.
• Good understanding of the Indian automotive market; exposure to ASEAN markets is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Own India market intelligence and forecasts, covering demand, segments, brands, models, and policy drivers.
• Support ASEAN regional analysis and link local developments to regional trends.
• Develop baseline and alternative scenarios using forecasting platforms; document assumptions.
• Validate data quality, reconcile sources, and improve data accuracy and traceability.

The Role: Own high-quality automotive market analysis and light-vehicle forecasting for India, while contributing to ASEAN coverage. The analyst will combine structured data, local market knowledge and AI-supported research tools to explain market movements, identify risks and opportunities, and deliver decision-ready insights to clients and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• India market ownership. Maintain and improve market intelligence and forecasts for India, covering total market demand, segments, brands, models, powertrains and relevant policy or economic drivers.
• ASEAN regional analysis. Support coverage of key ASEAN markets, connect local developments to regional trends, and contribute to a consistent regional outlook and narrative.
• Forecasting and scenario analysis. Use Mobility Global forecasting platforms, external indicators and expert judgement to develop baseline and alternative scenarios; document assumptions and explain forecast changes clearly.
• Data quality and validation. Review incoming data, investigate anomalies, reconcile conflicting sources and work with data and product teams to strengthen accuracy, consistency and traceability.
• Market intelligence. Monitor regulation, taxation, industrial policy, macroeconomics, consumer demand, OEM strategy, new-model activity, electrification and competitive developments across the region.
• Client insight and communication. Create concise reports, presentations and dashboards; respond to client questions; and present findings in a clear, commercially relevant way.
• Industry network. Build relationships with OEMs, associations, partners and other market contacts to validate assumptions, exchange insight and improve local market understanding.
• Cross-functional contribution. Collaborate with global analysts, product, data science, sales and marketing teams; contribute regional expertise to thought leadership, webinars and client engagements.

Required Skills

• Education. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Engineering, Data Science, Business, Statistics or a related discipline.
• Experience. Approximately 1-3 years in automotive research, market intelligence, forecasting, consulting, data analytics or a closely related role. Strong candidates with transferable sector experience are also encouraged to apply.
• Regional expertise. Good understanding of the Indian automotive market and the factors shaping vehicle demand. Exposure to one or more ASEAN markets is a strong advantage.
• Analytical capability. Confidence working with large datasets, checking data quality, identifying patterns and translating results into a coherent market story.
• Tools. Advanced Excel and strong PowerPoint skills are required. Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python or comparable analytics tools is advantageous. Practical use of AI-supported research or forecasting tools is welcome.
• Industry passion. Passion for automotive industry trends, especially alternative powertrains, connected mobility and digital transformation.
• Communication. Business-level English, with strong writing, presentation and stakeholder-management skills. Proficiency in any another relevant regional language is advantageous.
