Job summary

Qcentrio in Jaipur seeks an experienced QA Automation Engineer to automate end-to-end UI tests for web and mobile apps using Playwright and Python. You will design robust test plans, create regression suites, and drive quality across releases.

The role requires 5–7 years of automation experience, strong cross-browser testing, and collaboration with QA, development and DevX teams to improve performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of testing experience automating end-to-end UI tests for web and mobile apps using Playwright & Python.
• Experience collecting customer feedback post-launch and relaying insights to development teams.
• Background in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent hands-on automation training.
• Proficient in testing consumer-centric web and mobile apps with a focus on quality and usability.
• Ensure consistent user experience across platforms by leveraging Playwright's cross-browser capabilities.
• Skilled in designing test plans and writing clear bug reports using Jira.
• Self-motivated to enhance app performance and UX beyond the original spec.
• Familiarity with Jira and similar bug tracking tools for QA workflows.
• Maintain and enhance Playwright automation frameworks; fix flaky tests.
• Add and maintain new automated regression tests in Playwright suite for coverage.
• Collaborate with QA, Apollo, and DevX teams to ensure high test quality.
• Continuously improve the test automation framework for reliability and speed.
• Maintain and execute automated beta test regression suites; review failing tests.
• Regularly report feature and test progress to the QE Manager, highlighting risks.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in automation testing using Playwright along with Python.


• Strong experience in Playwright is must.


• Hands-on experience in designing automation frameworks from scratch or working on an existing one.


• Thorough understanding of Sprint Planning, Sprint Execution, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retro.


• Should be responsible to drive sprints or release to closure.


• Experience in continuous integration (CI) with Jenkins would be a huge advantage.


• Good communication, interpersonal, presentation, and problem-solving skills
