Job summary

Guidewire is seeking an Automation Infrastructure Engineer for our BizTech Operations in Bengaluru. You will design, automate, and maintain cloud and infrastructure systems to support global operations, using AI tools and infrastructure-as-code.

Join a scrum team, drive end-to-end automation with Ansible, Terraform, and AWS native services, and ensure security and reliability across Linux and Windows environments. Strong scripting skills and CI/CD experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information systems or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong foundational knowledge of AWS cloud platform, cloud networking, and Linux/Windows system administration.
• Hands-on experience with automation and scripting languages such as Python, Go, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with APIs, web services, and integration standards (REST, SOAP, JSON, OAuth)
• Solid experience with CI/CD platforms and pipeline automation (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).

Responsibilities

• Work with other Infra engineers as part of the Ops team in BizTech.
• Work on active Infra/DevSecOps support and projects.
• Maintain cross-platform system security across Linux and Windows environments through regular vulnerability remediation and automated patching.
• Work as part of a scrum team in a 2-week sprint model.
• Drive end-to-end automation using AI tools, Ansible, Terraform, and native AWS automation services.
• Integrate and maintain various operational solutions, including DataDog, PagerDuty, Slack, and Glean.
• Provision and automate tool deployments leveraging the AWS framework.
• Other ad-hoc tasks related to our wider Infra team’s needs.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical service availability and incident response.
