Job summary

Futran Tech Solutions is seeking an Automation Script Engineer to craft secure, idempotent automation scripts for IT operations across Windows, Linux, Cloud, Network, and IT Asset Management. The role emphasizes automation, governance, and scalable scripting practices.

The candidate will build PowerShell and Bash scripts, create Ansible playbooks, and develop Terraform modules for cloud provisioning, while integrating REST APIs and maintaining code in Git with CI/CD workflows.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of IT automation scripting experience.
• Experience building secure, idempotent automation across Windows/Linux, cloud, network and ITAM.
• Proficient in REST APIs, Git workflows, and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop PowerShell and Bash scripts for endpoint remediation and admin tasks.
• Build Ansible playbooks for infrastructure, patching, configuration, and network automation.
• Develop Terraform modules for AWS/Azure provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Integrate REST APIs, JSON, OAuth/API keys for identity, endpoint, network, and ITAM automation.
• Automate Active Directory, Intune/Tanium, ServiceNow, CMDB, backup/DR, and cloud operations.
• Design scripts with idempotency, dry-run, rollback, validation, and least-privilege security.
• Maintain scripts in Git, implement CI/CD, unit/integration testing, and semantic versioning.
• Support network/security automation using Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Juniper tech.
• Collaborate with AI platform teams on MCP-compatible tools and HITL automation.
