Job summary

Check Point is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to own validation and automation of GAIA OS networking infrastructure. You will combine Linux networking knowledge with automation to ensure scalable, secure, high-performance software releases.

You will own end-to-end quality validation across tests, design robust automation frameworks, and work with dev/architecture teams to resolve defects. The role emphasizes CI/CD improvements and proactive quality governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS, Electronics, or related field.
• 8–12 years in networking infrastructure testing and automation.
• Strong knowledge of Linux internals, the Linux networking stack, and OS architecture.
• Deep understanding of Layer 2/3 protocols (Ethernet, VLAN, IPv4/IPv6, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, LLDP).
• Proficient in Python or Shell for developing scalable automation frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and debugging skills for complex system issues.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end quality validation of GAIA OS networking infra across functional, integration, regression, and scale testing.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks to improve coverage, execution efficiency, and product reliability.
• Validate Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking features, high availability, routing, switching, and security across deployment scenarios.
• Identify, isolate, and drive resolution of complex software defects with development, architecture, and product teams.
• Continuously improve CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and quality processes to enable faster and more reliable releases.
• Contribute to the overall quality strategy by identifying test gaps and strengthening product resilience.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of hands-on experience in networking infrastructure testing and test automation for enterprise or security products.
• Strong understanding of Linux internals, the Linux networking stack, and operating system architecture.
• Solid knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols, including Ethernet, VLAN, ARP, IPv4/IPv6, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, LLDP, and routing fundamentals.
• Strong programming or scripting skills in Python, Shell, or similar languages for developing scalable automation frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex system-level issues.
