Job summary

PwC Acceleration Center India is seeking an Australian Tax Associate to support tax compliance work within our Tax practice. You will assist senior staff, gather information from multiple sources, interpret data for tax analysis, and contribute to client service activities across diverse engagements.

You will learn and apply PwC guidance, develop technical skills, and adapt to changing priorities while delivering deliverables with accuracy and integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Masters in Commerce.
• Oral and written proficiency in English required.
• 0–1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Review client financial data and tax records to support corporate tax compliance.
• Prepare and lodge tax returns, schedules and supporting documentation.
• Research tax legislation and guidance to resolve filing questions.
• Analyze financial statements to identify tax adjustments and filing impacts.
• Draft clear tax workpapers and client-ready documents with accurate calculations.
• Use tax compliance systems to organize data and track tasks.
• Communicate progress and findings to senior team members.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing client financial data and tax records to support corporate tax compliance work
• Preparing and lodging tax returns, schedules, and supporting documentation in line with applicable regulations
• Researching tax legislation and administrative guidance to help resolve filing questions and interpret reporting requirements
• Analyzing financial statements and account balances to identify tax adjustments, obligations, and filing impacts
• Drafting clear tax workpapers and client-ready documents that reflect accurate calculations and supporting detail
• Using digital tools and tax compliance systems to organize data, track tasks, and maintain workpapers
• Communicating progress, questions, and findings to senior team members while adapting to changing client needs
• Applying feedback and learning from engagements to build technical skills in tax compliance and client service

What You Must Have

• At least a Bachelors degree in the following field of study: Accounting or Masters in Commerce
• Oral and written proficiency in English required
