Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Commerce is required.
• CA/ACCA/CPA qualification with relevant experience is required.
• Strong accounting skills including GAAP/GAAS and high proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, high quality client service as part of client engagement teams.
• Develop strong relationships with teams to solve complex business and GAAP/GAAS issues.
• Understand clients' needs, business, and industry, and apply RSM audit approach.
• Perform audit procedures and tests in line with RSM methodology and document work.
• Identify risks and accounting issues and discuss resolutions with engagement teams.
• Research technical accounting issues and develop industry expertise.
• Prepare audit reports and management letters.
• Provide supervision and development for associates and timely deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, high quality client service as part of the client engagement teams serving large and small companies in a variety of industries.
• Develop strong working relationships while working closely with teams to understand and solve clients' complex businesses and challenges.
• Understanding clients' needs and expectations, their business and industry, accounting and control systems, employees, company values and industry-related GAAP and GAAS issues.
• Developing and demonstrating an understanding of the RSM US audit approach, methodology and tools.
• Performing audit procedures and tests in accordance with the RSM audit methodology based on the overall audit plan, ensuring proper documentation of work performed.
• Identifying areas of risk and accounting and auditing issues; discuss with engagement teams to solve issues that arise.
• Researching technical accounting issues.
• Developing industry expertise.
• Preparing audit reports, and management letters.
• Exercising professional skepticism, judgment and adhering to the code of ethics while on engagements.
• Ensuring that documentation is compliant with quality standards of the firm.
• Working collaboratively as a part of the team and communicating effectively with RSM audit professionals.
• Provide supervision and development training for associates.
• Taking ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables to ensure service excellence through prompt responses to internal and external clients.
• Providing timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations including coordinating the development and execution of the audit work plan and client deliverables.
• Understanding RSM US and RSM Delivery Center's line of business service capabilities and working as a team in providing an integrated service delivery.
• Ensuring professional development through ongoing education.
• Participate in a range of projects and open to collaborate and work with multiple teams.
• Demonstrating critical thinking, problem solving, initiative and timely completion of work.
• Provide oversight to senior associates and associates, including training and development activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors in Commerce
• Non-qualified: 6+ years of relevant experience
• CA qualified + 4 years relevant experience, ACCA/CPA qualified + 5 years relevant experience
• Strong technical skills in accounting including GAAP and GAAS
• Strong multi-tasking and project management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication (English) as the position requires frequent communications with RSM International clients and the United States based engagement teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong Data Analytical skills including advanced Excel skills (Vlookups, pivot tables, and basic formulas), Word and PowerPoint
• Experience in Investment Funds industry
