Job summary

Mantras2Success in Ahmedabad is seeking an Audit Consultant (Direct Tax & Statutory Audit) to join our corporate accounting team. You will independently execute audit assignments for SME and corporate clients, review financial statements, and prepare working papers.

The role requires CA or Inter CA with strong knowledge of statutory and tax audits, good Excel skills, and ability to coordinate with client finance teams to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• CA/Inter CA with audit experience preferred.
• Experience in statutory and tax audits.
• Strong Excel and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently execute statutory audit assignments for SME and corporate clients.
• Handle Tax Audit assignments including Form 3CD and related reporting.
• Perform audit planning, vouching, verification and analytical review.
• Review books of accounts and financial statements.
• Verify major balance sheet and P&L items and identify audit issues.
• Prepare and maintain complete audit working papers.
• Assist in finalisation of financial statements and related schedules.
• Identify internal control weaknesses and communicate audit observations.
• Prepare audit queries and coordinate with client finance teams for closure.
• Ensure audit assignments are completed within agreed timelines.
• Coordinate with partners/managers on significant audit findings.
• Guide junior team members and review their audit work.
• Develop practical understanding of accounting, auditing, taxation and financial reporting.
