Job summary

Apollo Health and Lifestyle is seeking an Audiologist to perform screening and diagnostic tests for hearing loss and facilitate hearing aid sales. The role includes pure tone audiometry, patient education, and occasional tele-audiometry testing, with on-site duties at Velachery & Annanagar.

Candidate should hold BASLP/MASLP with 1+ year experience or 300+ hours in audiometry, and be proficient in MS Office and patient communication. Open to rotation and travel for camps when required.

Qualifications

• BASLP or MASLP qualification required.
• 1+ year experience or 300+ hours in pure tone audiometry.
• Experience with hearing aids sales and fitting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen ear and assess hearing of patients.
• Perform pure tone audiometry and report results.
• Explain hearing aids needs and assist sales.
• Conduct hearing aid trial and fitment as needed.
• Take ear moulds for custom hearing devices.
• Perform tele-audiometry when required.
• Engage with doctors and staff on site.
• Conduct OAE and report findings as per protocol.

Job description

Audiologist:

To do screening, diagnostic tests for patients of hearing loss and sell hearing aids.

Duties and responsibilities

• To do screening of the ear and hearing assessment of the incoming patients
• Do Pure tone audiometry and reporting for the cases who need the test and /or advised for
• Explain the customer/patient about their need of Hearing aid and should be able to sell them
• Hearing Aid trial, Hearing aid fitment to be done based on the need and demand of the customer
• Taking ear moulds for customisation of hearing aids
• If needed, should be flexible to do Tele-audiometry tests ( ie. Virtually)
• Doctor and other staff engagement in the premises/nearby
• Should be able to do OAE and reporting of the same Authorities Make appropriate, timely and safe decisions on the management plan of the beneficiaries/customers in coordination with department protocols.

Qualifications / Certifications

• Education: BASLP and/or MASLP

Minimum 1 yr of experience/ more than 300 hours of experience in Pure tone audiometry, calibration and reporting
