Job summary

RSM US LLP in Bengaluru, India, seeks a Supervisor to drive core audit functions, lead teams, and ensure quality client service delivery. The role requires strong accounting knowledge, people leadership, and effective communication with clients and firm staff.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s in Commerce/Accounting/Finance and CA/ACCA/CPA qualifications with relevant experience, including managing multiple engagements and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CA qualified + 4 years relevant experience, ACCA/CPA qualified + 5 years relevant experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Audit software tools.
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, US GAAS or other relevant regulatory requirements, with the ability to apply relevant accounting and auditing standards.
  • Experience leading portions of audit engagements from planning through completion, including reviewing workpapers, and managing workflow across multiple engagements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop staff, including coaching and providing performance feedback.
  • Proven ability to manage client communication and expectations, including escalating issues and supporting resolution throughout the engagement cycle.
  • Experience overseeing substantive testing, analytical procedures, and control testing, including documentation and evaluation of results.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively in English with firm personnel and clients in person, by telephone, and through electronic or written means.
  • Effective project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, tasks, and projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy and quality of work in accordance with performance expectations, firm, and client standards.
  • Ability to work extended and/or non standard hours during peak periods or as necessary to meet client, project, or firm business needs.
  • Ability to maintain consistent, onsite presence during core business hours including the ability to regularly report to a firm office location and travel to client sites as required, including access to reliable transportation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Non-qualified : 6+ years of relevant experience
  • CA qualified + 4 years relevant experience, ACCA/CPA qualified + 5 years relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Commercial Audit Industry.
  • CA qualified + 4 years relevant experience, ACCA/CPA qualified + 5 years relevant experience.
  • Experience in Review and Compilation.
