Job summary

RSM US in India seeks an experienced Audit Manager to lead and supervise audit engagements for diverse clients, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and other standards. You will guide junior staff, manage timelines, and deliver high-quality client service from our Gurgaon office.

The role requires CA qualification with several years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic professional environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in commerce, accounting, finance, or related field.
• CA qualified + 6 years relevant experience, ACCA/CPA qualified + 7 years relevant experience
• Strong technical proficiency with financial reporting and auditing standards (US GAAP, IFRS, ISA).
• Proven experience leading and managing audit engagements and teams.
• Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Clear professional English communication with clients and firm personnel.
• Ethical judgment, independence, and risk awareness in audits.
• Ability to work extended hours and onsite with reliable transportation.

Job Responsibilities

India: Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.


• CA qualified + 6 years relevant experience, ACCA/CPA qualified + 7 years relevant experience


• Strong technical proficiency with financial reporting, audit procedures, and auditing standards, including US GAAP, IFRS, ASPE Canada, US GAAS, ISA, Canadian auditing standards and other relevant regulatory requirements.


• Proven experience leading and managing audit engagements and teams, including planning, executing, and completing audits while overseeing junior and senior audit staff.


• Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, balance competing responsibilities across clients and engagements, meet deadlines, and maintain quality in accordance with firm and client standards.


• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English with firm personnel and clients, manage client relationships, respond to client needs, and address issues while building trust.


• Applies sound business judgment, risk awareness, and ethical integrity to ensure audit quality, compliance, and independence, and to provide guidance to team members.


• Ability to work effectively in a professional office environment as required including prolonged periods at a computer using standard office equipment.


• Ability to work extended and/or non-standard hours during peak periods to meet client, project, or firm business needs.


• Ability to maintain consistent onsite presence during core business hours, report regularly to a firm office with reliable transportation.
