Job summary

BDO India is seeking an experienced audit professional to lead fieldwork teams, supervise junior staff, and report to Partners on audit findings. You will plan and execute fieldwork across client portfolios and manage project timelines and budgets.

Role requires strong leadership, English communication, and proficiency in MS Office. You will interact with client staff, draft high-quality deliverables, and contribute to tender processes and business growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Mandatory CA (India), CPA (US), or ACCA qualification.
• Minimum 4+ years of post-qualification audit experience.
• Strong leadership, project management, and team supervision skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.

Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• Leading a field work team including supervising and coaching more junior members of staff to help them reach their full potential.
• Reporting to audit Partners and Directors on all salient points arising from audits.
• Planning and execution of audit fieldwork and statutory reporting across a portfolio of clients.
• Project management of all aspects of audit including agreeing audit timelines, team briefings, and supervision and delivery of audit work.
• Budgeting and monitoring the financial performance of engagements, focusing on optimizing profitability.
• Identifying, researching and helping to resolve complex audit issues.
• Preparing client deliverables, building relationships with the client staff and acting as an ambassador for the firm.
• Keeping up to date with service offerings and identifying the sales opportunities that will help us grow our business.
• Working on audit tenders.
