  • 8–10 years of experience in chemical/environment roles.
  • Knowledge of environmental compliance and regulatory norms.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure environmental compliance with EHS policy.
  • Develop and implement environment strategies to reduce emissions and improve water reuse.
  • Set targets for gas emission reductions; monitor against prior year.
  • Operate and optimize effluent treatment and waste management.
  • Oversee ISO documentation and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies during inspections.
  • Develop emergency response plans and CAPA for incidents.
  • Liaise with authorities and stakeholders.
  • Provide training to employees on environmental awareness.
  • Procurement of environment-related equipment.

Position: Asst. Manager/Manager - Environment

Responsibilities
  • Environmental Compliance
  • Implement Environment strategy for the organization in compliance with EHS policy of the organization.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance environmental measures, with a focus on reducing gas emissions, increasing water reusability, and ensuring strict adherence to effluent disposal norms.
  • Set and achieve reduction targets for gas emissions, comparing against the previous year's performance.
  • Resource Utilization
  • Maintain and minimize the generation of liquid and solid waste.
  • Ensure and effectively manage the treatment of waste generated as well as efficient running of effluent treatment plans.
  • Documentation & Compliance
  • Oversee ISO standards in terms of documentation requirement and implementation.
  • EPR Compliances
  • Monitor and manage air and water quality to ensure compliance with environment standards.
  • Ensure various Regulatory Compliances, Applications for Consents and Authorization with regulatory bodies.
  • Conduct regular environmental audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement. Ensure reduction in the observations during Environment audits.
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies during inspections.
  • Risk Management
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize environmental impact.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans for environmental incidents.
  • Conduct Environmental incident Investigation and suggest for CAPA.
  • Identify and assess environmental risks associated with operations.
  • Implement control measures to reduce emissions and discharges
  • Cost Optimization
  • Analyse existing processes and recommend improvements to achieve cost efficiency in environmental initiatives.
  • People Responsibility
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programme to enhance environmental awareness and skills of the employees.
  • Liaisoning
  • Assist Environment Head for liaisoning with statutory / legal authorities.
  • Communication
  • Communication with different stake holders, vendors, TSDF site, Co-processors.
  • Purchase in procurement of Environment related equipment
