Job summary

WSP in India is seeking a Technical Lead to drive excellence in Ecology projects within the GCC India team, focusing on technical leadership, delivery, and coordination with UK colleagues.

You will mentor technical teams, manage scopes, budgets, and ensure high-quality outputs across proposals, reports, and project documentation, while upholding safety standards and aligning with WSP's Vision and Values.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical liaison for UK-based Nature Services & Arboriculture directors.
• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of ecology-related outputs from inception to completion.
• Ensure high‑quality technical deliverables that meet WSP and UK client standards.
• Provide operational oversight and technical guidance to the GCC Ecology team.
• Champion technical excellence across proposals, reports, and project documentation.
• Drive innovation and apply advanced techniques to ecological design and contract solutions.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and risks to ensure successful outcomes.
• Forecast workloads and allocate resources effectively to meet delivery targets.
• Monitor and report on commercial performance, ensuring budget utilisation and earning capacity are met or exceeded.
• Identify and mitigate project variations to deliver commercial advantage.
• Uphold local health and safety, welfare, risk, and information security standards.
• Conduct robust reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain high‑quality outputs.
• Promote Safety by Design and ensure compliance with internal systems and processes.
• Act as the technical face of the India‑based Ecology team in client interactions.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
• Contribute to bids, marketing materials, and strategic business development.
