Job summary

jda is seeking a Performance Engineer to own how our system behaves under real-world conditions, ensuring scalability, stability, and predictable performance before customers notice issues.

You will work in a technical environment with Java, Linux, and performance tools, developing automation utilities, and supporting integration tests. You’ll also mentor teammates and analyze test runs to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as Performance Tester/Engineer on Java based applications deployed on-prem/on-cloud with JMeter expertise.
• Hands-on with performance tools: JMeter, Gatling, k6, APM tools, log analysis, profiling tools.
• Understanding of metrics needed for performance certification of a Java application.
• Understanding of Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs).
• Linux perf commands and shell scripting.
• Monitoring with Telegram, Influx, Grafana.
• Thread dump, GC logs and heap dump analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own performance responsibilities, define, measure, and fix system behavior under real-world conditions.
• Develop automation utilities and scripts to reduce manual tasks.
• Participate in design and development for integration tests and skeleton components.
• Analyse performance test runs, report defects and share findings.
• Mentor team members on performance testing activities as needed.

Job description

Scope:

• You own performance. You define, measure, break, and fix how the system behaves under real-world conditions. You ensure the product scales, stays stable, and performs predictably—before customers find out it doesn’t.

Our Technical Environment:

• Performance Engineer with expertise in JMeter
• Java and Data structures
• Understanding of Linux Operating System and shell scripting

What you’ll do:

• As a Performance Engineer, you serve as a specialist in the engineering team that supports the team with following responsibilities.
• Participate in design and development of skeleton/stub components for the successful integration tests..
• Develop automation utilities and scripts that help to automate mundane tasks.
• Participate in status meetings with Project stakeholders on need basis.
• Gather and validate the NFR’s shared by customers/stakeholders.
• Mentor the team members on Performance test activities as the need arises.
• Analyse the Performance test runs and report defects and share the findings. Prepare and review Performance Test reports

What we are looking for:

Must Have:

• Understanding of Kubernetes architecture and administration
