Job summary

Taggd is seeking an Associate Technical Architect to lead the end-to-end design and implementation of enterprise AWS data platforms and Lakehouse solutions. The role provides technical leadership from architecture through production support across globally distributed teams.

The candidate will design scalable data pipelines, evaluate technologies, ensure security and cost optimization, and mentor developers while collaborating with data engineers and stakeholders across the organization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing enterprise-scale Data Lake/Warehouse on AWS.
• Strong SQL, Python, Spark/PySpark and Apache Iceberg proficiency.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services (EMR, S3, Athena, Glue, Aurora PostgreSQL, Lambda).
• Experience designing scalable batch and streaming pipelines; Airflow or Step Functions.
• Ability to lead globally distributed teams and conduct code/architecture reviews.
• AWS certifications preferred (Associate/Professional or Data Engineer).

About the Role

The Associate Technical Architect is responsible for the end-to-end design, architecture, and implementation of enterprise-scale AWS data platforms and Lakehouse solutions. The role involves providing technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from initial architecture and technology selection to deployment and production support.

Key Requirements (Must-Have Skills)

• Experience: 8+ years designing and delivering enterprise-scale Data Lake, Lakehouse, or Data Warehouse solutions on AWS.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on expertise in SQL, Python, Spark/PySpark, and Apache Iceberg.
• AWS Expertise: Deep knowledge of services including EMR, S3, Athena, Glue, Aurora PostgreSQL, Lambda, and various architectural principles (e.g., security, scalability, cost optimization).
• Pipeline Development: Experience designing scalable batch and streaming pipelines, along with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or AWS Step Functions.
• Leadership: Ability to lead globally distributed teams, conduct code/architecture reviews, and mentor developers.
• Certifications: AWS Solution Architect (Associate/Professional) or AWS Data Engineer Associate certifications are preferred.

Additional Qualifications (Good to Have)

• Infrastructure & CI/CD: Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Tools & Technologies: Familiarity with ClickHouse, Kafka, Hive, HDFS, and data governance tools like Collibra.
• AI Integration: Experience using GenAI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to enhance productivity.
• Domain Knowledge: Telecom or Mobile Network industry experience is beneficial
