Job summary

Harbinger Group is seeking an Associate Tech Specialist – Frontend (Angular 15+) for Baner, Pune, India. The role requires 6–8 years of experience working on a production Angular application within a large, established codebase.

You will contribute to mature projects, focusing on Angular 15+ with TypeScript, RxJS, Angular Material, Reactive Forms, and Karma/Jasmine testing. Flexibility to work between 7 PM and 10:30 PM IST is required for customer calls.

Qualifications

• Experience in a production Angular application within a large, established codebase is essential.
• Proficient in TypeScript and Angular frameworks.
• Solid command of RxJS, HTTP interceptors, and subscription management in class-based components.
• Experience with Angular Material UI components.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and extend an existing Angular application in a mature, non-greenfield environment.
• Collaborate with the team to navigate and contribute to a large codebase.
• Ensure code quality with unit tests (Karma/Jasmine) and CSS (SCSS).
• Support and optimize UI components using Angular Material and modern Angular APIs.

Job Description

Position: Associate Tech Specialist– Frontend (Angular 15+)

Experience: 6 to 8 years

We're looking for a Associate TechSpecialist to join our team working on a production Angular application. Thisis not a greenfield project — you'll be working within a large, existing,actively maintained codebase, so experience navigating and extendingestablished Angular applications is essential.

Required Skills & Experience

• Angular 15+ (experience with Angular 17–20preferred) and strong TypeScript proficiency


• RxJS — solid command of Observables, HTTPinterceptors, and subscription management within class-based components


• Angular Material — building and customizing UIcomponents


• Reactive Forms — experience with nestedFormGroups and writing custom validators


• Unit testing with Karma / Jasmine


• SCSS — styling and maintaining stylesheets atscale


• Proven experience working in a large, existingAngular codebase — comfortable ramping up on and contributing to mature,non-greenfield applications

Nice to Have

• Cypress (end-to-end testing)


• Familiarity with modern Angular 20 APIs —standalone components, input(), inject(), OnPush change detection, andsignals


• S3 file uploads and image handling


• i18n / internationalization experience(ngx-translate or similar)


• Sentry (error monitoring and reporting)

Person should be flexible to work between 7 PM to 10.30 PM IST as customer calls happen during this time period.

Once in every 3 months person will need to stay back and attend Planning increment meeting which go beyond 12 midnight for 5 days.
