Job summary

Srmap in Chennai, India, seeks a software engineer to analyze requirements and develop software as specified, with emphasis on UI design, data structures, and testing. You will provide technical support for new and existing features and communicate progress to teams in India and the USA.

The role favors strong OOP skills, debugging proficiency with Visual Studio or CodeWarrior, and experience with SVN/CVS. Exposure to logistics or container terminals is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Engineering or Computer Science.
• Excellent Object-Oriented programming skills and accomplished performance technologies.
• Highly proficient in debugging, preferably using Visual Studio and Code Warrior IDEs.
• Capable of identifying and automating unit and functional tests using any standard or proprietary tool.
• Strong analytical abilities and debugging/troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient in both verbal and written communication abilities.
• Experience with source code control systems such as SVN, CVS, VSS or equivalent is a plus.
• Exposure to logistics, container terminals, or management is highly preferred.
• Experience or knowledge of real-time graphical application development is a great addition.
