Job summary

Mygate is seeking a frontend engineer to design and build responsive user interfaces using modern web technologies. You will translate product requirements into clean, functional code and collaborate with backend teams to integrate APIs for seamless user experiences.

You will work on component development, state management, and optimization of web applications across devices and browsers, delivering maintainable, scalable UI solutions for our growing platform.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript including ES6+ features.
• Solid understanding of React.js components, props, hooks, and lifecycle.
• Experience managing application state and choosing state patterns.
• Proficient in HTML5 and CSS3 for responsive designs.
• Experience consuming REST APIs and connecting frontend to backend.
• Comfortable with Git version control and collaboration.
• Understanding of core JS concepts, DOM, async patterns, and browser behavior.
• Write clean, modular code that is easy to maintain.
• Strong debugging skills and problem solving.

About the role:

• As a frontend engineer joining Mygate, you will design and build user interfaces that power our platform, working with modern web technologies to create responsive and performant applications
• You'll translate product requirements into clean, functional code and collaborate with backend teams to integrate APIs and deliver seamless user experiences
• Your work will span component development, state management, and optimization of web applications across different devices and browsers

What we're looking for:

• Strong command of JavaScript including ES6+ syntax and modern language features
• Solid grasp of React.js fundamentals including components, props, hooks, and lifecycle methods
• Ability to manage application state effectively and choose appropriate state management patterns
• Proficiency in HTML5 and CSS3 with the ability to build responsive designs that work across screen sizes
• Experience consuming REST APIs and connecting frontend code to backend services
• Comfortable using Git for version control and collaborating on codebases
• Deep understanding of JavaScript core concepts, DOM manipulation, asynchronous programming patterns, and browser behavior
• Skill in writing code that is clean, modular, and easy for others to maintain and extend
• Strong debugging ability and logical approach to solving problems

Technical strengths we value:

• Knowledge of UI/UX design principles
• Experience with TypeScript for type-safe development
• Familiarity with Redux or other state management libraries
• Exposure to React Query or similar data-fetching libraries
