Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• 1-2 years of software development experience.
• Experience building commercial web applications or scalable APIs.
• Solid experience with C#, the Microsoft .Net stack and AWS stack.
• Experience with Web APIs, MVC, Unity, EF, LINQ, async programming, SQL Server, .NET 8, AWS Lambda, SQS, PostgreSQL.

• Follow software design best practices such as CI, TDD, and regular deployments.
• Solve investors’ problems with technology and create informative experiences for individual investors.
• Be passionate about quality, processes, programming, and investing.
• Familiarity or desire to become AWS certified developer.
• Take ownership with a Get Things Done attitude; wear multiple hats as needed.
• Analyze and remediate production issues and build instrumentation.
• Enforce Agile practices (JIRA) including TDD and CI.
• Help to shape product vision and stay updated on new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Build well-designed, well-engineered, stable, scalable products across a variety of markets
• Follow software design best practices such as continuous integration, test-driven development, and regular deployments.
• Solve investors’ problems with technology, understanding market chaos at work and crafting technically appropriate interactive experiences to communicate effectively with individual investors.
• Be passionate about quality, process, programming, and investing in general, seeing opportunities for improvement, seizing them, and then sharing your findings with others.
• Familiarity or desire to become an AWS certified developer
• Take ownership of the success of the team with a "get things done" attitude; the ability to understand and leverage new technologies, potentially wearing many hats including business analyst, DBA, QA, and project manager.
• Analyze and remediate production issues and build instrumentation and operational readiness into the systems architecture.
• Enforce good Agile practices (using JIRA) including test-driven development and continuous integration.
• Help to shape product vision
• Stay up to date on emerging technologies.
• Promote usability and coding best practices.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, with 1 to 2 years of software development experience.
• 1+ years of experience developing commercial quality web applications and/or scalable APIs.
• Experience with designing and building full-stack web applications.
• Solid experience with C# , the Microsoft .Net stack and AWS stack. Should have experience with the following technologies: Web APIs, MVC, Unity, Entity Framework, LINQ, Asynchronous programming, SQL Server, .NET 8, AWS stack (Lambda, Fargate, SQS, Postgress).
• Advanced knowledge in XML programming
• Must be able to write good unit tests
• An understanding of how to protect web applications from common security vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of object-oriented design, domain modeling, design patterns, and building highly scalable and available systems.
• Be organized and able to remain productive even when you have multiple deliverables.
• Experience working in Scrum-based methodologies a plus.
• Highly motivated individual with the potential and desire to learn new technologies and take on an increasing level of responsibility within the technology team.
• Ability to work independently, communicates effectively, and produces superior results.
