Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
• Experience developing software using Java, Python, or other object-oriented programming languages.
• Experience with modern UI frameworks such as AngularJS or ReactJS.
• Hands-on experience with AI technologies (AI/GenAI, RAG) is a plus.

JOB SUMMARY

The Associate Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and releasing applications, platform capabilities, and integrations that support the organization's technology solutions.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities % TIME

• Participate in the design and development of new products/solutions, as well as enhancements, updates, and issue resolution for existing systems. 55%
• Contribute across the software development lifecycle (SDLC), with a focus on development, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging. 10%
• Follow established coding standards and best practices, contributing through hands-on coding. 10%
• Develop unit tests and automated test scripts in support of a test-driven development (TDD) approach. 5%
• Leverage coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) for code generation, review, and test creation (good to have). 5%
• Build rapid prototypes and proof of concepts (POCs) to validate new ideas and solutions. 5%
• Should be comfortable working independently or collaborating with others 10%

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field required

Work Experience

• Typically < 2 years Experience in developing products and platforms using either UI or backend web technologies

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities KSAs Proficiency

• Experience developing software using Java, Python, or other object-oriented programming languages.
• Experience with modern UI frameworks such as AngularJS or ReactJS
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, and testing methodologies
• Hands-on experience with: RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), Generative AI technologies, AI agent development
• Strong understanding of coding best practices, UI and back-end architectures
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with geographically distributed teams
• Demonstrates a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and urgency
