Job summary

FinOps Weekly in Hyderabad is seeking a Senior FinOps Analyst to own cloud cost visibility, reporting, and optimization across a business area. You will build cost dashboards, conduct deep-dive analyses in Excel, and present findings to stakeholders using PowerPoint.

Collaborate with engineering, product, and finance to embed cost awareness in design and operations. The role emphasizes strong FinOps fundamentals, hands-on cloud cost tooling (Apptio Cloudability), advanced Excel and PowerPoint

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of FinOps principles and cloud cost optimization.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related billing tools.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; English proficiency; German knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own cloud cost visibility and reporting for Business Area using FinOps tools such as Apptio Cloudability or equivalent and cloud provider cost management tools.
• Build and maintain cost and usage reports/dashboards; perform deep-dive analyses in Excel (pivot tables, charts, scenario analysis).
• Prepare and deliver regular reviews and recommendations to stakeholders in PowerPoint or similar presentation tools.
• Analyze cost and usage data to identify key drivers, trends, and optimization opportunities.
• Proactively identify and prioritize optimization actions (rightsizing, reservations/commitments, storage optimization, cleanup of idle resources).
• Ensure tagging and allocation standards are applied so costs are accurately attributed to products/teams.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for cloud spend.
• Partner with engineering, product, and architecture teams to embed cost awareness in design and operations.
• Advise on pricing models and commitment strategies based on data from FinOps tools.
• Act as the interface between a Business Area and the central FinOps / Cloud Center of Excellence team.
