Job summary

Mantle Solutions is seeking a SOC Analyst to monitor, detect, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity threats across the organization’s IT environment. The role involves continuous monitoring of security tools, investigating alerts, and supporting security operations to protect information assets.

Responsibilities include triage, containment, and remediation of incidents, scanning for threats, and collaborating with teams to enhance detection capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required.
• Certifications such as CEH, Security+, CySA+, CHFI, or other recognized cybersecurity credentials are highly recommended.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events from SIEM, XDR, EDR, IDS/IPS, WAF, Email Security, and other tools.
• Analyze and investigate security incidents, alerts, and suspicious activities.
• Perform incident triage, classification, containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Escalate critical incidents per Incident Response Plan.
• Document incident findings and remediation actions.
• Conduct threat hunting to identify potential threats in the environment.
• Analyze malware, phishing attempts, and suspicious network activity.
• Review threat intelligence feeds and apply indicators for monitoring.
• Monitor log ingestion and data quality across security platforms.
• Create, fine-tune, and maintain SIEM rules and use cases.
• Reduce false positives through alert optimization.
• Assist with security audits and compliance requirements.
