Digital Project Manager (Large Molecule Discovery Informatics)
What You Will Do
In this vital role you will coordinate AI, data, and informatics initiatives across Large Molecule Discovery, partnering with scientists, informaticians, software engineers, data scientists, and technology teams to keep projects on track and on schedule.
- Support planning, execution, and tracking of AI, data, and informatics initiatives across Large Molecule Discovery.
- Maintain Gantt charts, project plans, timelines, milestones, action items, and dependency tracking across multiple workstreams.
- Coordinate project activities across scientific, technical, and business teams to support timely delivery of project objectives.
- Assist with resource planning, scheduling, and project documentation.
- Help ensure projects remain aligned with agreed‑upon scope, timelines, and priorities.
- Facilitate communication between scientists, informatics teams, software engineers, data scientists, and enterprise technology partners.
- Schedule and coordinate project meetings, status reviews, and working sessions.
- Capture meeting outcomes, decisions, action items, and follow‑up activities.
- Support coordination with external collaborators and technology partners when needed.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication regarding project status, risks, and dependencies.
- Monitor project risks, issues, and dependencies and work with project teams to support mitigation planning.
- Help identify potential obstacles that could impact delivery timelines or project objectives.
- Support operational readiness activities associated with deployment of new digital and AI‑enabled capabilities.
- Track implementation progress and support transition activities as solutions move into production use.
- Maintain project dashboards, status reports, and delivery metrics.
- Support development and adoption of project management best practices and standard operating procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve coordination, communication, and project execution processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance delivery efficiency across the LMD informatics portfolio.
- Support initiatives focused on AI‑enabled scientific workflows, data platforms, and research informatics capabilities.
- Coordinate activities associated with implementation of antibody and protein design workflows.
- Help ensure project deliverables align with scientific user needs and operational requirements.
- Assist teams in tracking milestones required for deployment and adoption of new capabilities.
What We Expect Of You
Basic Qualifications
- Master’s degree
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of directly related experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting cross‑functional scientific, technical, digital, or data‑focused projects.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies including Agile, Hybrid Agile, or Waterfall approaches.
- Experience maintaining project plans, tracking deliverables, and managing dependencies.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
- Exposure to AI, machine learning, data platforms, scientific informatics, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Familiarity with biotechnology, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or research environments.
- Understanding of scientific data workflows and technology implementation projects.
- Interest in emerging applications of AI within research and development.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse scientific and technical teams.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to execution excellence.
- Experience using project management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications, including SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
