Job summary

Qualifications

  • Experience in managing complex multi-stakeholder projects.

Responsibilities

  • Identify urban development reform opportunities for policy work
  • Coordinate projects with partner institutions on urban infrastructure, transportation, housing and public facilities
  • Conduct community consultations, workshops, and public hearings
  • Perform demographic, economic, and environmental studies to guide planning decisions
  • Assist CEO with exploration of new projects and verticals; synthesize data from multiple sources
  • Prepare thought-provoking pieces and strategy notes
  • Collaborate to design, plan and execute projects across sectors
  • Participate in brainstorming and strategy discussions to contribute new ideas
  • Assist with priority ad-hoc tasks and projects

Position: Associate Program Manager (KP Singh Foundation )

This position offers a unique opportunity to serve as a strategic partner, immersing yourself in building exceptional initiatives from the ground up. You will serve as a force multiplier for the leadershiporchestrating operations, driving the exploration of new verticals, and ensuring the seamless execution of the foundation's vision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify urban development reform opportunities for policy work
  • Work with partner institutions to coordinate efforts on projects in urban infrastructure, transportation, utilities, housing, and public facilities.
  • Conduct community consultations, workshops, and public hearings.
  • Perform demographic, economic, and environmental studies to guide planning decisions.
  • Support the CEO in the exploration of new projects and verticals by engaging in secondary research, speaking with experts, and synthesising data from multiple sources.
  • Prepare thought-provoking pieces and strategy notes.
  • Collaborate with other team members to assist in the designing, planning, and execution of projects across sectors.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and strategy discussions to contribute fresh perspectives and innovative ideas for the foundations growth.
  • Assist with priority ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed to support the foundations evolving needs.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Urban Planning or a related field.
  • Good knowledge of GIS tools and spatial analysis.
  • Familiarity with zoning laws, building codes, and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • 2 plus years of work experience in challenging/high-growth environments. Prior knowledge of the urban planning and urban development sector is preferred.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) with the ability to draft high-quality notes for senior leadership and the Board
  • Interest and reasonable competence in applying AI tools to work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to structure undefined problems and drive them toward clarity
  • Ability to engage senior leadership and manage multiple stakeholder environments (Legal, Finance, Ops)
  • High level of flexibility and responsiveness, with the ability to shift priorities quickly as organisational demands require
  • High level of discretion in maintaining confidentiality of sensitive materials and issues. .
