Job Summary

We are inviting applications from qualified and experienced radiologists for the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Radiodiagnosis. The selected candidates will be responsible for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, diagnostic imaging services, clinical supervision, research, and departmental academic development.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct undergraduate and postgraduate lectures, practical sessions, demonstrations, and clinical teaching.
• Interpret diagnostic imaging studies, including X-rays, ultrasonography, CT scans, and MRI, according to clinical expertise.
• Supervise radiology reporting, diagnostic imaging procedures, and interdepartmental consultations.
• Guide medical students, postgraduate residents, and junior faculty in image interpretation, diagnostic techniques, and clinical decision-making.
• Participate in seminars, case discussions, journal clubs, research projects, and scientific publications.
• Contribute to curriculum delivery, student assessments, and departmental academic planning.
• Ensure appropriate radiation protection, imaging quality assurance, and compliance with applicable statutory requirements.
• Maintain accurate radiology records and departmental documentation.
• Coordinate with other clinical departments to support timely and accurate diagnosis.
• Adhere to patient safety, medical ethics, institutional protocols, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Eligibility & Qualifications

• MD/DNB in Radiodiagnosis from a recognized institution, or an equivalent qualification recognized under applicable NMC regulations.
• Valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or the concerned State Medical Council, as applicable.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as Assistant Professor in Radiodiagnosis at a recognized medical institution, subject to applicable NMC eligibility provisions.
• Minimum 2 research publications after appointment as Assistant Professor, meeting applicable NMC requirements, including authorship criteria.
• Completion of the Basic Course in Biomedical Research (BCBR), as applicable.
• Candidates must fulfill all applicable NMC, University, and Institutional eligibility criteria for the position of Associate Professor.

Relevant Experience

• Undergraduate and postgraduate medical teaching.
• Diagnostic imaging, radiology reporting, and image interpretation.
• Experience with CT, MRI, ultrasonography, X-ray, and other relevant imaging modalities.
• Supervision of residents, junior faculty, diagnostic procedures, and academic activities.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Good clinical and diagnostic radiology skills.
• Strong interest in teaching and academics.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Research-oriented approach.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary hospital environment.
• Experience/expertise in CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X-Ray, or specialized radiology services will be an advantage.
