Job summary

GMR Airports Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Operations & Maintenance professional to oversee mechanical water systems, fire hydrants and sprinkler coverage across ALS STP-WTP plants and associated pumping stations. This role requires hands-on leadership for 6–10 years in power/industrial facilities, emphasizing reliability and safety.

You will monitor water and electrical consumption, guide a team to optimize usage, and contribute to cost-effective initiatives.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years' experience in operation maintenance or related field within the power industry.
• Strong knowledge of fire fighting systems, STP (Sewerage Treatment Plant), WTP (Water Treatment Plant), water system operations.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale industrial facilities with complex mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure uptime and uptime of critical systems related to mechanical systems (water systems), fire hydrant and sprinkler systems for ALS STP-WTP Plant and all critical pumping stations.
• Monitor water and electricity consumption related to water system facilities like WTP, STP, Fire Hydrant network, Sewage & Water pumping stations; guide team to optimize usage and identify initiatives for power and water optimization.
• Assist in preparing AOP covering all line items for uninterrupted airport operations and monitor AOP expenses to adhere to budgeted AOP.
• Ensure and guide the team in adhering to standard PPM schedule for WTP-STP systems, pumping systems, and fire hydrant systems of ALS.
• Identify and complete approved capex and opex improvement projects; implement 5S & Kaizen and support in Business Excellence initiatives.

Percentage of availability To closely monitor water and electricity consumptions related water system facilities like WTP,STP, Fire Hydrant net work, Sewage & Water pumping stations and guideteam to optimize the same. Further responsible for identifying new initiatives for optimization of power and water in the system operation

Assiting in preparation of AOP covering all line items for un-interrupted airport operations andmonitor the AOP expenses and adhere to budgeted AOP.
