Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) in Bengaluru seeks a Manager - Site Reliability Engineering to lead a team responsible for the availability, scalability and performance of critical services. You will drive automation initiatives, mentor engineers and ensure delivery against long-term reliability goals.

The role requires ITIL qualification, a background in CS/SE/Electronics, and hands-on software development alongside deep dives into networking, OS and storage.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electronics / Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • Moderate experience in software development in one or more programming languages
  • Previous experience managing an engineering team on projects with technical deep-dives into code, networking, operating systems and/or storage.
  • ITIL qualified

Responsibilities

  • Understands the tech strategy and culture and its impact on own work and adjacent teams.
  • Runs a team of Site Reliability Engineers on projects to improve availability, scalability, latency and efficiency of services.
  • Leads by example, mentors the team and demonstrates quality technical execution.
  • Manages end-to-end availability and performance of key services and builds automation to prevent recurrence of problems.
  • Implements new site reliability processes and standard methodologies as required by groups or heads.
  • Ensures the SRE community has the technical skills to deliver long-term plans.
  • Supports and develops team members through mentoring and development opportunities.
  • Coordinates the team and holds accountability for work produced.
  • Leads design work and planning for project elements and execution.
  • Works to budget targets.

Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities
  • Understands the tech strategy and culture, and how they impact own work as well as adjacent teams.
  • Runs a team of Site Reliability Engineers on projects to ensure improvement of the availability, scalability, latency and efficiency of LSEG’s services.
  • Leads by example, mentors the team and establishes credibility through quality technical execution.

  • Works to budget targets.
Qualifications & Experience
