Job summary

DXC Technology is seeking an experienced Front-End Engineer to design, develop, and maintain interactive web interfaces using JavaScript, jQuery UI, HTML5, and CSS3. You will build reusable UI components, ensure responsive and cross-browser compatibility, and integrate with RESTful services.

The role includes leadership, code reviews, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive UI modernization. The ideal candidate has 8-10 years of front-end experience, strong JavaScript/jQuery UI

• Experience creating custom jQuery UI widgets and extending existing components.

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive web interfaces using jQuery UI, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

• Develop reusable UI components such as dialogs, accordions, tabs, date pickers, data grids, menus, and custom widgets using jQuery UI.
• Implement responsive and cross-browser compatible user interfaces.
• Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Optimize UI performance, accessibility, and user experience.
• Troubleshoot and resolve UI-related issues and browser compatibility problems.
• Work closely with UI/UX designers, backend developers, QA teams, and business analysts.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Support application enhancements, bug fixes, deployments, and production issues.
• Contribute to UI modernization and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Lead and mentor a team of UI developers.
• Provide technical direction and resolve architectural challenges.
• Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and technical interviews.
• Support estimation, resource planning, and release management.
• Drive engineering best practices and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for UI-related initiatives.
