Job summary

UST in Chennai, India is seeking a Business Process Operations Analyst to ensure the accuracy and integrity of custody and cash/trade data across internal systems. The role requires a high level of autonomy, strict deadlines, and adherence to SLAs.

As SME for the team, you will manage portfolios, resolve stakeholder queries, escalate issues when needed, and contribute to continuous process improvements while supporting colleagues during peak periods.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Act as SME ensuring data accuracy across custody and cash/trade systems.
• Handle complex issues autonomously with adherence to deadlines and SLAs.
• Mitigate operational risk by maintaining effective controls.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned portfolios and related tasks.
• Escalate challenges and maintain timely communication with Custodian on aged breaks and high values.
• Be a strong team player, supporting colleagues during high-volume periods.
• Share ideas to enhance processes and efficiency.
• Manage portfolios, resolving queries from stakeholders, clients, custodians, administrators.
• Prioritize workload based on risk, deadlines; ensure SLA compliance.
• Provide guidance to junior team members on tasks and priorities.
• Participate in team discussions and calls to strengthen knowledge.
• Complete mandatory trainings within defined timeliness.

• The Analyst acts as a subject matter expert within the team, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of custody and cash/ trade data across internal systems through rigorous processes.
• This role demands a high level of autonomy in handling complex issues, cross-team collaboration, and adherence to strict deadlines and SLAs.
• The candidate plays a key part in mitigating operational risk, maintaining effective controls, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure timely completion of all assigned portfolios and related tasks are completed on time
• Escalate challenges and maintain clear, timely communication with Custodian on Regular follow up of Aged breaks, High values and Other tasks
• Be a strong Team player, supporting colleagues during high Volume periods or when support required
• Share ideas and feedback to enhance process.
• Manage assigned portfolios, proactively resolving queries from stakeholders, clients, custodians, and administrators.
• Prioritise and manage workload based on risk and deadlines, ensuring completion within SLAs.
• Produce high-quality output with attention to detail and strong adherence to operational controls.
• Regularly monitor the shared mailbox to ensure no requests are missed.
• Acknowledge emails promptly and action within agreed timeliness
• Follow Controls and guidelines to maintain operational integrity.
• Provide guidance and clarification to Junior Team members on tasks, Priorities and process Offer support during high volumes or critical period to ensures SLA are not missed.
