Job summary

WSP India is seeking a senior hydrogeologist to manage data, develop risk assessment models using ConSim, RTM and LandSim, and prepare technical reports interpreting hydrogeological conditions. You will delegate work to junior team members with oversight.

The role involves coordinating with UK Ground and Water project teams, leading bid preparation, budgeting, mentoring early career professionals, and contributing to recruitment and growth of the GCC Hydrogeology team.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in hydrogeology or a related discipline.
• Chartership with a recognized geoscience body.
• Experience leading junior professionals and project delivery.

Hydrogeological skills of managing data, Risk Assessment modelling using ConSim, RTM and LandSim, preparing technical reports relating to the interpretation of hydrogeological conditions. Delegation of work to junior team members with oversight and direction.

Responsibilities

• Communicating and liaising effectively and efficiently with the UK Ground and Water project team (team members, project managers and directors).
• Undertake bid preparation, resource and budget development.
• Line manage and support the professional development of early career professionals.
• Contribute to recruitment and growth of the GCC Hydrogeology team.
• Project and task management.
• Good presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of the land contamination and regulatory regime within the UK and the risk-based approach to the assessment of land contamination.
• Managing hydrogeological data and developing hydrogeological conceptual models and interpretation based on the data.
• Developing source-pathway-receptor linkages and risk assessment modelling to support the preparation of hydrogeological risk assessments and detailed quantitative risk assessments for contaminated land and landfill.
• Use and learn software such as ConSim, LandSim, P20, FeFlow, Modflow, SeepW
• Undertaking / performing project tasks assigned by senior people in the team.
• Preparing and reviewing factual and interpretive reports.
• Take ownership for aspects of project delivery including delegation to and oversight of junior team members, technical, quality, schedule and budget.
• Build relationships with our Clients to ensure that our services deliver project outcomes and customer satisfaction.

Experience

• >10 Years of Industry experience is desirable.
• Experience the UK environmental consulting is desirable.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification (MTech, MSc and or PhD) in hydrogeology or a hydrogeological discipline.
• Chartership with an appropriate geoscience organisation.
