Job summary

AtkinsRealis India Private Limited is seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to lead design and analysis for complex RC and steel structures, with 11+ years in design offices. The role emphasizes collaboration across disciplines, client liaison, and project leadership, including international project exposure.

Ideal candidates will have an honours degree, be pursuing MICE or MIStructE, and demonstrate strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Honours Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 11+ years of design office experience.
• Working towards MICE or MIStructE preferred.
• Experience on Middle East building projects.
• Experience on multi-discipline projects.
• Proficient in reinforced concrete design and RC detailing to American codes.
• Nice to have experience in structural steel design to American codes.
• Proven use of leading structural design software.
• Ability to lead technically within a team.
• Experience across energy, industrial and defence sectors.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and programmes.

Job Description Overview

Support and assist regional project management teams to manage and control their documentation of customers and vendors i.e. proposals, product-related issues, and drawings/documents in a timely and efficient manner.

Your role

Responsibilities

• Delivering projects or parts of larger projects to completion, within budget and to the project programme.
• Ensuring the provision of efficient and high quality engineering services, to a high level of quality assurance.
• First point of contact for clients, contractors, design team and third parties
• Offer support and guidance to junior members of the team.
• Effectively manage own time which may be necessary if allocated to more than one project.
• Build client and internal relationships and help identify business opportunities.

Requirements

• Honours Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience of 11+ years working in Design office.
• working towards professional affiliation (MICE or MIStructE) will be preferred, but not essential.
• Experience of working on the Middle East building projects is essential.
• Extensive experience of working on multi-discipline projects.
• Practical experience of reinforced concrete design and RC detailing of complex reinforced concrete structures, to American codes.
• Preferably also practical experience of structural steel design and detailing of complex steel structures, to American codes.
• Proven experience on providing analytical solutions using the leading structural design software.
• Have experience, and a desire to, technically lead and collaborate within a technically orientated team.
• Established skill and delivery in the design and analysis of concrete and steel structures, and be familiar with current design standards and working practices.
• Proven experience of working across sectors including energy, industrial and defence
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage and work to budget and programme, to control costs and manage change control processes.
• Proven experience effectively managing Clients and other external stakeholders, both technically and commercially.
• A flexible attitude to both the type of work undertaken and the level of responsibility given
• Experience of working with, and managing, small / medium sized focused technical teams.
• Flexible approach to work location.
• Have the ability to make decisions, act on your own initiative.
