Job summary

TMF Group is seeking an Associate Engineer for the Global Site Resilience Management team to oversee enterprise backups and recovery across cloud and on‑prem environments, including Azure and AWS.

The role emphasizes automation of routine maintenance, proactive monitoring, and disaster recovery planning to ensure maximum uptime and high resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or CS is required.
• 1+ year of backup operations experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and compliance is a plus.

Job description

Role & responsibilities:

• This position is for Associate Engineer -Global site Resilience Management team and will be responsible for managing enterprise Backups and Recovery for the Cloud like MS Azure (ASR), Azure Backup, AWS Backup, etc.
• Position requires basic understanding of IaaS, PaaS Cloud platforms preferably AWS or Azure.
• Manage and support enterprise backup and recovery solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Automate our routine maintenance tasks for infrastructure systems such as backups / recovery, patch management and hot fixes.
• Ensure that the infrastructure is maintained to high levels of resilience and performance with maximum uptime and availability.
• Perform the Changes as required in the backup environment, in line with the Change management policies.
• Perform proactive monitoring and respond to alerts generated by backup, monitoring, and cloud platforms.
• Analyze backup trends, failures, storage consumption, and performance metrics.
• Need to be dynamic, hard-working, and ambitious individual that excels at multi-tasking and can ramp up quickly in a dynamic, high-tech environment.
• Monitor and optimize system performance of backup systems and DR tools taking both proactive and reactive measures to correct and prevent issues.
• Provide adequate support for the local office workplace teams and ensure the locally hosted backup infrastructure services for DR and backup are maintained and monitored well.
• Ensure program deadlines are met by working as team Player
• Provide support to users and staff to resolve backup related issues.
• Perform new installations, testing, and overall maintenance & administration.
• Implement and administer backup roles and domain analysis
• Able and willing to learn new as well as existing computer technologies.
• The role requires specific technical such as the ability to manage enterprise backups and disaster recovery planning and execution, especially for cloud environments like MS Azure and AWS.
• Also required to have soft skills, manage work processes, communicate effectively, and work with tight deadlines

Preferred candidate profile:

• Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience (1+ years) overseeing Backup operations.
• Understanding of industry compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risks and develop effective disaster recovery strategies.
