Job summary

Varaha, a climate-tech venture based in Gurgaon, seeks an Associate Finance to join our growing global team. You will maintain accurate books, manage month-end and year-end closures, and assist in preparing financial statements and MIS reports.

Responsibilities include AP/AR, GST and TDS compliance, coordinating with stat auditors, and supporting audits. CA qualification (qualified or semi-qualified preferred), 2–5 years accounting experience, and proficiency with ERP and MS Excel (Tally/Zoho)

Qualifications

  • CA qualification or semi-qualified preferred.
  • 2–5 years of accounting, finance, audit, or taxation experience.
  • Experience with GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
  • Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (Tally/Zoho).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure timely month-end and year-end closures
  • Prepare journal entries, general ledger reviews, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist in preparation of financial statements and MIS reports
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable, including reconciliations and controls
  • Manage statutory compliances such as GST, TDS, and related filings
  • Support internal, statutory, and tax audits and resolve audit queries
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and accounting standards
  • Coordinate with internal teams and stat auditor
  • Coordinate with banking partners to support banking relationships, financing activities, documentation, and ongoing compliance requirements.

Position: Associate Finance

Location: Gurgaon, Haryana

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure timely month-end and year-end closures

Required Skills And Experience
  • Chartered Accountant – Qualified or (Semi-Qualified CA also preferred)
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, audit, or taxation
  • Articleship and corporate finance experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems
  • Proficiency in accounting and ERP systems, including Tally and Zoho
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
  • Strong analytical, communication, and time-management skills
  • High attention to detail and professional integrity
