Associate Director - Technical Services
Job Description Summary

The Associate Director – Technical will lead and govern end-to-end technical operations across the India portfolio, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-availability management of MEP systems and building infrastructure. The role is responsible for driving operational excellence, regulatory compliance, vendor governance, energy efficiency, and cost optimization across multiple sites, while building and mentoring strong Pan-India technical teams.

Role Summary

The Technical Head will lead the end-to-end technical operations for all sites across India, ensuring reliable, compliant, and cost-efficient functioning of MEP systems and overall building infrastructure. The role requires strong technical expertise, vendor management capability, regulatory understanding, and the ability to drive standardization and continuous improvement across sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for all technical services including Electrical, HVAC, Fire Safety, Plumbing, DG, UPS, and BMS.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with statutory requirements, safety norms, and internal audit standards.
  • Lead preventive & corrective maintenance programs to achieve zero downtime and optimal asset life.
  • Drive energy efficiency initiatives and sustainability projects across facilities.
  • Manage and monitor vendor performance, SLAs, AMC contracts, and project deliverables.
  • Oversee budgeting, technical procurement reviews, and cost optimization measures.
  • Conduct periodic site audits, risk assessments, and technical readiness reviews.
  • Support transitions, new site mobilizations, and technical due diligence.
  • Lead and mentor the technical team; build capabilities through training and SOP implementation.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engg. (preferred: Master’s or relevant certifications).
  • 12–18 years of experience in technical operations within Facilities Management or Property Management.
  • Strong understanding of critical systems, high-availability environments, and regulatory norms.
  • Excellent vendor management, communication, and stakeholder-handling skills.
  • Proven ability to manage large, multi-location portfolios.
