McCain Foods in India is seeking an Associate Director, App Engineering to lead MES design, deployment, and governance for Parsec TrakSYS. You will shape architecture, establish standards, and oversee integration with ERP and automation systems across manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 15+ years in MES, manufacturing IT environments.
• 2-3 years of direct experience with Parsec TrakSYS or comparable MES platforms.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and production systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for the design, implementation, support, and continuous improvement of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
• Serve as a subject matter expert for the Parsec TrakSYS platform, including configuration, customization, extension development, and platform administration.
• Define and evaluate MES architecture, ensuring scalable, maintainable, secure solutions aligned with long-term objectives.
• Review technical designs, custom development efforts, and coding standards for quality and performance.
• Lead integration of MES with ERP, automation, historian, quality systems, and other enterprise systems.
• Collaborate with manufacturing stakeholders to translate operational requirements into technology solutions.
• Drive application engineering best practices, governance, and system lifecycle management.
• Analyze complex MES environments to reduce technical debt and improve sustainability.

About The Role.

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director, Application Engineering (MES) to provide technical leadership for McCain's Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) strategy and implementation. This role will be instrumental in building and scaling a new MES capability, with a primary focus on the deployment, optimization, and long-term sustainability of the Parsec TrakSYS platform across manufacturing operations.

As a senior technology leader, you will guide solution architecture, technical standards, integration strategies, and application engineering practices while partnering closely with manufacturing, operations, and enterprise technology teams to deliver scalable and reliable MES solutions that drive operational excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing.

• Provide technical leadership for the design, implementation, support, and continuous improvement of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).

What You’ll Need To Be Successful.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of experience in MES, manufacturing applications, manufacturing IT, or related industrial technology environments.
• Deep hands-on expertise with Parsec TrakSYS, including implementation, configuration, customization, extension development, and production support.
• Minimum 2-3 years of direct experience working with Parsec TrakSYS or comparable enterprise MES platforms.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and production systems within industrial environments.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and providing architecture oversight for complex enterprise solutions.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, including database design, optimization, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Experience integrating MES platforms with ERP, automation systems, historians, quality systems, and other operational technologies.
• Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, technical design reviews, coding standards, and application lifecycle management.
• Proven ability to assess complex, customized solutions and recommend improvements for scalability, maintainability, and long-term sustainability.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience mentoring technical teams and building organizational capabilities through coaching and knowledge transfer.

About The Team.

The Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) team is a newly established capability within McCain focused on advancing our digital manufacturing strategy. This role will play a foundational part in shaping the technical direction, standards, and implementation approach for MES solutions across manufacturing operations. Working closely with application engineering, manufacturing, operations, and business stakeholders, the Associate Director will help build a high-performing team and establish best-in-class MES practices centered around the Parsec TrakSYS platform.
