Job summary

Tesco Bengaluru is seeking software engineers to design, develop, and deliver web applications across front-end, back-end, and database layers, aligned with Tesco's standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end features across front-end, back-end, integrations, and database components.
• Develop high-quality, reusable, documented code with security and governance in mind.
• Ensure quality via testing, code reviews, and defect prevention.
• Support deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and production issue resolution.
• Develop and maintain APIs, integrations, and data solutions for business processes.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation and emerging technologies.
• Communicate delivery progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.
• Live and demonstrate Tesco values in daily work.

Design, develop, and deliver high-quality web applications with a strong focus on reliability, scalability, performance, and zero-defect delivery. Contribute toward end-to-end development across front-end, back-end, and database layers, adhering to established engineering standards and best practices.

• Deliver end-to-end application features across front-end, back-end, integrations, and database components.
• Develop high-quality, reusable, and well-documented code while ensuring compliance with security and governance requirements.
• Ensure solution quality through testing, code reviews, defect prevention, and adherence to defined quality standards.
• Support application deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and production issue resolution to ensure service reliability and performance.
• Develop and maintain APIs, integrations, and data solutions that enable secure and efficient business processes.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, reusable assets, process optimization, and adoption of emerging technologies.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and provide clear communication on delivery progress, risks, and dependencies.
• Live & demonstrate Tesco values in everyday interactions.

Experience level - 0 to 3 years Preferred

Domain Skills:

Knowledge of web application development and digital solutions. Ability to understand business requirements, contribute to solution development, and support application enhancements and maintenance activities.

Technical Skills:

Front-end development, web application development, API integration, and database fundamentals.
