Job summary

Swaniti Initiative is seeking a research-oriented role to support its industrial decarbonization team in India. You will conduct analysis on decarbonization pathways, energy efficiency, and renewable integration, with emphasis on MSMEs, and prepare policy briefs and technical documents to guide energy transition efforts.

You will assist in data collection, benchmarking, and development of analytical frameworks, while coordinating with state bodies, industry stakeholders, and development partners

Responsibilities

• Support the industrial decarbonization team in research, analysis, stakeholder coordination, and program implementation activities.
• Conduct secondary research and analysis on industrial decarbonization pathways, energy efficiency, renewable energy integration, and clean technology adoption, particularly for MSMEs.
• Prepare policy briefs, background notes, technical summaries, literature reviews, and other knowledge products related to industrial energy transition.
• Assist in data collection, quantitative analysis, benchmarking studies, and development of analytical frameworks for industrial decarbonization and climate policy.
• Support engagements with state governments, DISCOMs, industry stakeholders, and development partners through research inputs, meeting documentation, and coordination support.
• Assist in designing and implementing pilot programs, capacity‑building initiatives, and policy interventions under senior guidance.
• Contribute to concept notes, presentations, and technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support assessment of policy and regulatory frameworks related to renewable energy deployment, industrial energy efficiency, and low‑carbon transitions.
• Participate in stakeholder consultations, workshops, and discussions with government agencies, industry associations, academic institutions, consultants, and experts.
• Assist in project monitoring, reporting, documentation, and tracking of deliverables
