Job summary

Cohere Health is seeking a hands-on manager to lead an in-office data operations team in Hyderabad. You will implement SOPs, ensure data quality, and support data scientists with data prep for model development while maintaining stringent privacy controls.

The role requires strong SQL and basic Python skills, excellent written and oral communication, and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams globally. Prior experience with HIPAA data handling is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in SQL for querying data and databases.
• Basic Python skills (Pandas preferred) for data prep.
• Strong attention to detail across operational tasks.
• Proactive communication of risks, delays, dependencies and issues.
• Experience with Excel or Google Sheets including pivot tables and formulas.

Responsibilities

• Execute SOPs, checklists, and QA protocols to ensure consistency.
• Adhere to SLAs, turnaround time, data quality, and compliance standards.
• Support data scientists by preparing and validating data for model development and deployment.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies.
• Work across rotational or client-aligned shifts as needed.
• Communicate risks and issues proactively to stakeholders.
• Support business teams with data analysis and reporting requirements.
• Maintain HIPAA, PHI handling procedures and data privacy across processes.

Full-time position, in-office. This position will require the candidate to engage critical thinkingskills, be intellectually curious, and demonstrate great attention to detail. Requires excellentcommunications skills both written and oral. Must possess the ability to work with a diversegroup of talent both in-person and globally. This is a hands-on manager role, that requires themanager to engage in the work of the team being managed.

What you’ll do

• Execute on SOPs, checklists, and quality assurance protocols to ensure operational consistency.
• Adhere to SLAs and uphold turnaround time, data quality, and compliance standards.
• Support data scientists by preparing, validating data for model development and deployment.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies
• Work flexibly across rotational or client‑aligned shifts as business needs evolve.
• Perform effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic operational environment.
• Communicate risks, delays, dependencies, and issues proactively to stakeholders.
• Support business teams with data analysis and reporting requirements
• Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA, PHI handling procedures, and data privacy/security regulations across all processes.

ISMS roles and responsibilities

• Fair understanding of Information Security practices.
• Align to the organization policies and procedures.
• Ensure to get updated with ISMS roles as assigned by the department/process heads.

Required Qualifications

Must-haves

• Basic knowledge of Python (Pandas preferred).

• Strong adherence to data validation and data quality checks.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelors in computer science or master's in computer science with 70% and above.
• Strong Mathematical skills
• Understanding of Python programming Data structures

Ability to commute/relocate

• Nacharam, Hyderabad, Telangana*: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
