Job summary

Morningstar seeks a self-motivated Associate Data Content Researcher to join the Mumbai Managed Investment Data team. You will work with Data Strategy, Tech, and Global MID operations to implement new data, data changes, and rule enhancements to drive operational excellence.

You will help design data collection processes and interfaces, build tools, and act as the data escalation point. This position is based in Mumbai office with UK shift; you will interact with global teams to strengthen data

Qualifications

• 3-6 years in business/data analysis, preferably within capital markets, wealth management, or asset management Domans.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, economics or business with exceptional academic record.
• Understanding of Database Structure and Design; Experience with SQL.
• Basic programming: Python; database skills preferred.
• Experience with AI tools is a plus.
• Strong quantitative and business analysis skills.
• Excellent English verbal/presentation/written communication skills.
• Highly interested in data and analytics; Understanding of fund data, data, system, process and backend logic.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized.
• CFA/NISM/FRM/NCFM certifications or progress towards those preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design new data flow and UI; build backend logic to ensure data accuracy.
• Propose data processing improvements from a holistic data perspective.

• Perform feasibility and impact analyses for data solutions and methods.
• Communicate potential impacts/risks and draft risk mitigation plans.
• Coordinate with teams to ensure proper implementation and documentation.
• Maintain database backend knowledge and create readable documentation.

The Team

As an essential part of Morningstar Global MID Organization, Data Content Research Team is responsible for data process solution analysis and impact analysis for new data or data changes, business rule management, and data collection platform change request review and sign off. The team would collaborate with different data function teams on key data initiatives, and continue drive operation excellence.

The Role

You will be a key contributor to design new data collection process flow and user interface, build creative tool and provide insight for data enhancement and you would also play a key role as the data escalation point. Your exposure to global teams will allow you to have a solid foundation for your career. This position is based in Mumbai office. Shift - UK

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret business requirements to propose actionable data and process solutions.

• Provide solution and consultation for data processing improvement from overall data perspective.
• Provide proper proposal for data quality control backend logic to drive data accuracy improvement.
• Interpret data methodologies into usable technology language through detailed written specifications.
• Conduct feasibility analysis and impact analysis to evaluate data solution / methodology feasibility and impact.
• Communicate with stakeholders on the potential impacts or risks of the proposal, and make the risk mitigation plan.
• Coordinates with relevant teams to ensure proper implementation and documentation.
• Maintain database backend knowledge and build readable documentation.

Requirements
