mediasense in India seeks an Associate Consultant to join our Client Services team. You will support delivery of financial audits and governance programmes across clients, with a hybrid work pattern from our Gurgaon office three days a week.

You will analyse data, identify risks, prepare clear reports, mentor Analysts, and engage with clients to present findings. Strong auditing background and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 4–6 years of auditing in financial compliance, audit, risk, or assurance.
• Experience in internal and/or external audit; Big4 exposure is a plus.
• Professional qualifications such as CA/ICAI/CPA desirable but not essential.
• Experience reviewing, testing, and documenting controls and processes.

The Role

This role is for an Associate Consultant based in India. The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality financial audits and governance programmes, helping clients navigate an increasingly complex business landscape. This is a hybrid role, with employees expected to work from our Gurgaon India office three days per week, including one designated anchor day per week.

Your key responsibilities will vary as we work on a project basis.

Examples of day-to-day work may include:

• Work as part of project teams delivering financial cost compliance audits, assessing agency compliance with advertiser-agency contractual agreements
• Analyse financial, commercial, and operational data to identify risks, control gaps, and areas of non-compliance.
• Produce clear, well-structured reports and deliverables that communicate findings effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• Lead day-to-day communication with agencies to ensure projects are set up for success, including agreeing scope, timelines, ways of working, and expectations.
• Take responsibility for project planning and coordination, ensuring milestones are met and all parties are held accountable to agreed deliverables.
• Manage, mentor, and train Senior Analysts and Analysts on projects, supporting high-quality outputs and consistent delivery standards.
• Review work performed by junior team members, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
• Engage directly with clients, including presenting audit findings, insights, and recommendations in a clear and confident manner.
• Build strong working relationships with agencies and clients, acting as a professional and credible representative of the compliance team.
• Participate in international travel if required to support global projects and client engagements.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• A minimum of 4 -6 years’ experience in auditing in a financial compliance, audit, risk, or assurance role
• Strong audit background, with experience in internal audit, external audit, and/or other assurance engagements. Experience working on third party assurance projects at Big4 audit firm is a plus
• Relevant professional qualifications e.g. CA, ICAI, CMA, ACCA or CPA or equivalent desired but not essential.
• Experience reviewing, testing, and documenting controls and processes
• Ability to interpret financial data and identify risks, issues, and improvement opportunities
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable working with both Finance and non-Finance stakeholders, translating technical issues into clear, practical advice
• Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail
• Experience working with clients from various sectors and markets and complex organisations.
• A self-starter with a sense of autonomy and initiative, who can work well independently and in cross-functional and cross-border teams.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise across a variety of projects.
• Interest in, or exposure to, marketing, media, or creative industries, with curiosity about how these businesses operate.
